The LDF will comprise of the following parts:
The Local Development Scheme (LDS). This document sets out the overall timetable for the production of the LDF. It is a public statement detailing the Council's preparation of Local Development Documents which will form the LDF. The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This document details how the Council plan to involve the community during the production of the LDF. A Sustainability Appraisal / Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA). The policies and proposals contained in the LDF must be appraised to ensure that they contribute to the aims of Sustainable Development. The SA/SEA document will set out the results from this appraisal. Local Development Documents (LDDs). In addition to the documents above LDDs will form the majority of the LDF. These documents may include a Core Strategy, Specific Allocations of land, Area Action Plans, Proposals Maps, General Development Control Policies and Supplementary Planning Documents.
